Econova’s Māori and Pasifika Training and Scholarship Programme is unique in the sense that: 

• It will employ trained professionals who understand both technical requirements and cultural practices.
  

• It will provide apprenticeships and training to Māori and Pasifika cadets for experience in the environmental  industry.
  

• It will open up scholarship opportunities for Māori & Pasifika interested in studying within science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) related courses.

• It will create overseas pathway opportunities for skilled operators, once fully trained and certified, for entry into the environmental aspects of industry sectors, being both permanent and Fly In/Fly Out (FIFO).
